“Auj Par Kab Meri Kismat Ka Sitara Hoga” is a masterpiece of devotion by Allama Riaz-ud-Din Soharwardy. This Naat is a profound prayer for spiritual elevation and a yearning to witness the splendor of the Green Dome.
The Zenith of Destiny
Auj Par Kab Meri Kismat Ka Sitara Hoga?
Ya Nabi Kab Mujhe Deedar Tumhara Hoga?
When will the star of my destiny reach its zenith?
O Prophet ﷺ, when shall I be blessed with your vision?
Beholding the Green Dome
Jaaliyan Rozay Ki Kab Saamne Hongi Mere?
Gumbad-e-Khizra Ka Kab Mujh Ko Nazara Hoga?
When will the sacred grilles of your shrine be before my eyes?
When shall I behold the sight of the Green Dome?
The Shelter of Mercy
Sahl Ho Jayegi Har Manzil-e-Mahshar Us Ki
Jis Ko Haasil Teri Rehmat Ka Sahara Hoga
Every stage of the Day of Judgment will become effortless for him
Who is supported by the shelter of your mercy.
Alms in the Name of the Grandsons
Daal De Sadqa Nawason Ka Meri Jholi Mein
Tere Mangte Ka Isi Taur Guzara Hoga
Grant me alms in the name of your blessed grandsons;
For this is the only way your beggar can sustain his life.
A Gesture of Grace
Baat Ban Jaye Gi Mahshar Mein Gunehgaron Ki
Tere Altaaf-o-Karam Ka Jo Ishaara Hoga
The sinners will find their salvation on the Day of Judgment
With just one gesture of your grace and kindness.
The Guarantee of Intercession
Ummati Un Ka Jahannam Mein Chala Jaye Koi
Shafi-e-Mahshar Ko Kab Aisa Gawara Hoga?
How could any follower of his ever be sent to Hell?
The Intercessor of the Day of Judgment would never allow it.
Refuge at the Master’s Cloak
Mein Gada Un Ka Hun Haathon Mein Sar-e-Hashr Riaz
Daaman-e-Sarwar-e-Aalam Ka Kinara Hoga
I am his devotee, and on the Day of Resurrection, O Riaz!
The hem of the Master of the World’s cloak will be my shore.

A declaration of total reliance on the Prophet’s ﷺ reach on that difficult day.
“Roz-e-Mahshar Uzr-e-Man Pazeer…”
A bold plea of a lover asking for his shortcomings to be hidden in the Prophet’s ﷺ grace.
