نازم بہ نازیم کہ در عینی عیانیم
Raqsam Ba Raqseem Ke Khoban-e-Jahanim
Nazim Ba Nazim Ke Dar Aini Ayanim
I dance with the dancers, for we are the beautiful ones of the world,
I take pride in my grace, for everything is manifest and clear to us.
چوں تشنہ باشیم کہ دریائے محیطیم
چوں گنج بجوئیم کہ ما گوہر کانیم
Chun Tishna Bashim Ke Darya-e-Muheetim
Chun Ganj Bajoyim Ke Ma Gohar-e-Kaanim
Though I am thirsty, I am the encompassing ocean itself,
Though I seek a treasure, I am the mine of precious pearls.
نہ آبیم نہ بادیم و نہ خاکیم و نہ آتش
مائیم بہر صورت و ما کون و مکانیم
Na Aabim Na Baadim Wa Na Khakim Wa Na Atish
Ma-eem Bahar Surat Wa Ma Kon-o-Makanim
I am neither water nor wind, neither earth nor fire,
I exist in every form; I am the universe and the space within.
نہ اسمیم نہ جسمیم نہ بسمیم و نہ رسمیم
نہ میمیم نہ جیمیم نہ اینیم و نہ آنیم
Na Ismim Na Jismim Na Bismim Wa Na Rasmim
Na Meemim Na Jeemim Na Eenim Wa Na Aanim
I am neither a name nor a body, neither a sign nor a tradition,
I am not the letters ‘Meem’ or ‘Jeem’; I am neither this nor that.
در عقل گنجیم کہ آں نور خدائیم
در فہم نہ آئیم کہ بے نام و نشانیم
Dar Aql Ganjim Ke Aan Noor-e-Khuda-eem
Dar Fahm Na Aayim Ke Be Naam-o-Nishanim
I am the Light of God beyond the reach of intellect,
I cannot be understood by reason, for I am without name or trace.
چوں براق سواریم بنازیم نہ لاہوت
زکس باک نہ داریم و اغیار برانیم
Chun Buraq Sawarim Banazim Na Lahoot
Zi Kas Baak Na Dareem Wa Aghyar Baranim
I ride the Buraq with pride toward the Lahoot (Divine Realm),
I fear no one and cast aside all that is other than Him.
مطلوب نہ طلبیم کہ ایں طلب حرام است
اللہ نگوئیم کہ در شرک بمانیم
Matloob Na Talabim Ke Een Talab Haram Ast
Allah Na Goyim Ke Dar Shirk Bamanim
I do not seek the Desired One, for seeking implies distance (separation),
I do not utter ‘Allah’ to avoid the duality of shirk (for He is within).
شہباز پریدیم و از خویش گذشتیم
با دوست بمانیم و بے دوست ندانیم
Shahbaz Pareedim Wa Az Khesh Guzashteem
Ba Dost Bamanim Wa Be Dost Nadanim
Like a Shahbaz (Falcon), I have flown and transcended my own self,
Now I abide with the Beloved, and I know nothing but the Beloved.
