بے محمد در حق بار نیست
بے روا از کبریا دیدار نیست
Be Muhammad Dar Haq e Baar Naist
Be Rawa Az Kibriya Deedar Naist
Without Muhammad (PBUH), there is no entry into the Divine Court,
Without his mediation, the vision of the Almighty is not possible.
در دو عالم بے تمثل صورتے
اے پدر دیدار آں دیدار نیست
Dar Do Aalam Be Tamassul Surate
Ay Padar Deedar Aan Deedar Naist
In both worlds, there are countless forms,
O seeker, seeing those forms is not the true Vision.
اے محقق ذات حق با صفات
بے تجلی ہیچ کہ اظہار نیست
Ay Muhaqqiq Zaat-e-Haq Ba Sifaat
Be Tajalli Heech Ke Izhaar Naist
O researcher, the Divine Essence is adorned with Attributes,
Without His Light (Tajalli), His manifestation is not possible.
ہر دو عالم جز تمثل نیست نیست
مطلع جز صاحب اسرار نیست
Har Do Aalam Juz Tamassul Naist Naist
Matla Juz Sahab-e-Asrar Naist
In both worlds, there is nothing like Him,
But His reality is known only to the possessors of secrets.
ہر چہ بینی جز خدا ہرگز مبیں
وہم غیری زانکہ جز پندار نیست
Har Che Beeni Juz Khuda Hargiz Mabeen
Wahm-e-Ghairi Zaan-ke Juz Pindaar Naist
Whatever you behold, see nothing but God,
Anything other than Him is merely a thought, a whim, or an illusion.
جز جمال دوست دیدن شد حرام
نزد بینا کار غیر ایں کار نیست
Juz Jamal-e-Dost Deedan Shud Haraam
Nazd-e-Beena Kaar-e-Ghair Een Kaar Naist
To look at anything except the beauty of the Friend is forbidden,
For the one with true vision, there is no work other than this.
غرق باشد در جمال دوست دوست
عاشق سر مست را گفتار نیست
Gharq Bashad Dar Jamal-e-Dost Dost
Ashiq-e-Sarmast Ra Guftaar Naist
The friend is drowned in the beauty of the Friend,
An intoxicated lover is beyond the reach of words.
ایں شراب عاشقاں را ہر کہ خورد
مست آمد دائما ہوشیار نیست
Een Sharab-e-Ashiqaan Ra Har Ke Khurd
Mast Aamad Daima Hoshiyaar Naist
Whoever drinks this wine of the lovers,
Remains forever intoxicated and never returns to worldly consciousness.
در لقائے یار باشد باریار
ورنہ ہر کس اے جواں او یار نیست
Dar Liqa-e-Yar Bashad Baar-e-Yar
Warna Har Kas Ay Jawan O Yar Naist
A true friend is one who is blessed with the vision of the Friend,
Otherwise, O youth, he is no friend at all.
زنداں نتواں گفت او را در جہاں
ہر کہ دربار جاناں بار نیست
Zindan Natwan Guft O Ra Dar Jahan
Har Ke Darbar-e-Janan Baar Naist
One cannot be called ‘alive’ in this world,
Who has no access to the court of the Beloved.
علم مطلع در دو عالم نکتہ است
عارفاں را کار با ضروار نیست
Ilm-e-Matla Dar Do Aalam Nukta Ast
Aarifaan Ra Kaar Ba Dhruwaar Naist
In both worlds, knowledge is condensed into this single point,
The gnostics have no concern with causing hardship or pain.
روئے تو راجا گفت خود را بدہ کن
عارفاں را ہیچ دل بیدار نیست
Roye Tu Raja Guft Khud Ra Bidah Kun
Aarifaan Ra Heech Dil-e-Baidar Naist
O Raja, turn your face toward Him and surrender yourself,
For the gnostics possess nothing but an awakened heart.
