Since my Beloved Muhammad ﷺ made his home within my soul;
Hundreds of doors have opened in my heart because of my Beloved.
The Nightingale of Ahmad’s ﷺ Garden

We are the high-flying nightingales in the garden of Ahmad ﷺ;
We are but pearls and corals, and our vast ocean is Muhammad ﷺ.
The Rain for Withered Souls
Mustaghriq-e-Gunaah-em Har Chand Uzr Khwah-em
Pazhmurda Choon Giyah-em Baaraan-e-Ma Muhammad
We are drowned in sins, yet we stand as seekers of pardon;
We are like withered grass, and our refreshing rain is Muhammad ﷺ.
The Ointment of Intercession
Az Dard-e-Zakhm-e-Esyan Maara Che Gham Cho Saazad
Az Marham-e-Shafaat Darmaan-e-Ma Muhammad
Why should we grieve over the wounds of our transgressions?
For Muhammad ﷺ shall provide the ointment of intercession and our cure.
The Recompense of the Lover
Imroz Khoon-e-Aashiq Dar Ishq Agar Hadar Shud
Farda Ze Dost Khwaham Taawaan-e-Ma Muhammad
If today the blood of the lover is shed in the path of Love;
Tomorrow, I shall seek our recompense from the Friend, through Muhammad ﷺ.
The Sovereign of the Court
Ma Taalib-e-Khuda-em Bar Deen-e-Mustafa-em

We are seekers of God and firm upon the religion of Mustafa ﷺ;
We are beggars at his threshold, and our Sultan is Muhammad ﷺ.
The Manifest Evidence

We have surpassed all other nations because of him;
For those who have no helper, Muhammad ﷺ is our manifest proof.
The Salutations of Clay and Soul
Ay Aab-o-Gil Suroode Way Jaan-o-Dil Duroode
Ta Bishnud Ba Yathrib Afghan-e-Ma Muhammad
O body of water and clay, sing his praise! O soul and heart, send salutations!
So that in Medina, Muhammad ﷺ may hear our humble cries.
The Quran as the Orchard
Dar Baagh-o-Bostaan-am Deegar Makhaan Mu’een-e
Baagh-am Bashust Quran Bustaan-e-Ma Muhammad
O Moin! Recite nothing else in my garden and orchard;
The Quran has become my garden, and my orchard is Muhammad ﷺ.

- Hadar (ہدر): Wasted or shed without compensation (in the path of love).

Insight: The Sultan of the Soul
In this complete Persian Ghazal, Khwaja Gharib Nawaz emphasizes that the devotee’s physical self (Aab-o-Gil) must engage in constant praise so that it resonates in the spiritual presence of Medina. This poem is a core pillar of Ishq-e-Muhammadi, teaching that the only true cure for the Aasi (sinner) is the “Marham” (ointment) of the Prophet’s ﷺ intercession.
