Safeena Jis Ka Hai Toofaan Woh Na-Khuda Houn Mein
Taking the support of the waves, I am moving forward;
I am that captain whose very ship is the storm itself.
خود اپنے جلوہ ٔ ہستی کا مبتلا ہوں میں
نہ مدعی ہوں نہ کسی کا مدعا ہوں میں
Khud Apne Jalwa-e-Hasti Ka Mubtala Houn Mein
Na Muddayi Houn Na Kisi Ka Muddua Houn Mein
I am captivated by the manifestation of my own existence;
I am neither a claimant, nor am I anyone’s objective.

I am that footprint at Your door that shall never be removed.

The world of my thoughts keeps changing;
At times I am united, and at times I am separated from the Beloved.
حیات و موت کے جلوے ہیں میری ہستی میں
تغیرات دو عالم کا آئینہ ہوں میں
Hayat-o-Maut Ke Jalwe Hain Meri Hasti Mein
Taghayyurat-e-Do Aalam Ka Aaina Houn Mein
The splendors of life and death exist within my being;
I am the mirror reflecting the transformations of both worlds.
تری عطا کے تصدق ترے کرم کے نثار
کہ اب تو اپنی نظر میں بھی دوسرا ہوں میں
Teri Ata Ke Tasadduq Tere Karam Ke Nisaar
Ke Ab To Apni Nazar Mein Bhi Doosra Houn Mein
Sacrificed for Your gifts, devoted to Your grace;
For now, even in my own eyes, I have become another.
بقا کی فکر نہ اندیشۂ فنا مجھ کو
تعینات کی حد سے گزر گیا ہوں میں
Baqa Ki Fikr Na Andesha-e-Fana Mujh Ko
Tayyunat Ki Had Se Guzar Gaya Houn Mein
I have no worry for eternal life nor fear of extinction;
I have passed beyond the boundaries of worldly definitions.
دیکھ لو شکل میری کس کا آئینہ ہوں میں
یار کی شکل ہے اور یار میں فنا ہوں میں
Dekh Lo Shakl Meri Kiska Aaina Houn Mein
Yaar Ki Shakl Hai Aur Yaar Mein Fana Houn Mein
Look at my face—of whom am I the mirror?
It is the image of the Beloved, for I am annihilated in the Beloved.
بشر کے روپ میں اک راز کبریا ہوں میں
سمجھ سکے نا فرشتے کہ اور کیا ہوں میں
Bashar Ke Roop Mein Ik Raaz-e-Kibriya Houn Mein
Samajh Sake Na Farishte Ke Aur Kya Houn Mein
In the form of a human, I am a secret of Divine Grandeur;
Even the angels could not comprehend what else I truly am.
میں وہ بشر ہوں فرشتے کریں جنھیں سجدہ
اب اس سے آگے خدا جانے اور کیا ہوں میں
Mein Woh Bashar Houn Farishte Karein Jinhein Sajda
Ab Is Se Aage Khuda Jane Aur Kya Houn Mein
I am that human to whom the angels performed prostration;
Beyond that, only God knows what more I am.

The only trace of my address is that I am address-less.

Mujhi Ko Dekh Lein Ab Tere Dekhne Waale
