لو مدینے کی تجلی سے لگائے ہوئے ہیں
دل کو ہم مطلعِ انوار بنائے ہوئے ہیں

Lo Madinay Ki Tajalli Se Lagaye Hue Hain
Dil Ko Hum Matla-e-Anwar Banaye Hue Hain

We have attached ourselves to the radiance of Madinah;
We have made our hearts a dawning-place of lights.

کشتیاں اپنی کنارے سے لگائے ہوئے ہیں
وہ کیا ڈوبے جو محمد کے ترائے ہوئے ہیں

Kashtiyan Apni Kinaare Se Lagaye Hue Hain
Wo Kya Doobe Jo Muhammad Ke Tiraaye Hue Hain

We have anchored our boats securely at the shore;
How can they drown whom Muhammad (PBUH) has helped across?

شرمِ عصیاں سے نہیں سامنے جایا جاتا
یہ بھی کیا کم ہے تیرے شہر میں آئے ہوئے ہیں

Sharm-e-Isyaan Se Nahi Saamne Jaaya Jaata
Ye Bhi Kya Kam Hai Tere Shehar Mein Aaye Hue Hain

Due to the shame of my sins, I cannot bring myself to face You;
But is this not enough, that I have at least arrived in Your City?

ایک جھلک آج دکھا گنبدِ خضرا کے مکیں
کچھ بھی ہیں دور سے دیدار کو آئے ہوئے ہیں

Ik Jhalak Aaj Dikha Gumbad-e-Khazra Ke Makeen
Kuch Bhi Hain Door Se Deedar Ko Aaye Hue Hain

Show me a glimpse today, O Resident of the Green Dome;
Whatever we may be, we have come from afar just for a vision.

قبر کی نیند سے اٹھنا کوئی آسان نہ تھا
ہم تو محشر میں انہیں دیکھنے آئے ہوئے ہیں

Qabr Ki Neend Se Uthna Koi Aasan Na Tha
Hum To Mehshar Mein Unhe Dekhne Aaye Hue Hain

Waking from the sleep of the grave was no easy task;
We have come to the Gathering (Mehshar) only to see Him.

نام آتے ہی ابوبکر و عمر کا لب پر
کیوں بگڑتا ہے وہ پہلو میں سلائے ہوئے ہیں

Naam Aate Hi Abu Bakr O Umar Ka Lab Par
Kyun Bigadta Hai Wo Pehlu Mein Sulaye Hue Hain

At the mere mention of Abu Bakr and Umar on the lips,
Why do you get upset? They are sleeping by His side.

حاضر و ناظر و نور و بشر و غیب کو چھوڑ
شکر کر وہ تیرے عیبوں کو چھپائے ہوئے ہیں

Haazir O Naazir O Noor O Bashar O Ghaib Ko Chor
Shukr Kar Wo Tere Aybo Ko Chupaye Hue Hain

Leave the debates of Omnipresent, Light, Human, and Unseen;
Be grateful that He has covered your faults.

کیوں نہ پلڑا تیرے اعمال کا بھاری ہو نصیر
اب تو میزان پہ سرکار بھی آئے ہوئے ہیں

Kyun Na Palra Tere Aamal Ka Bhari Ho Naseer
Ab To Meezan Pe Sarkar Bhi Aaye Hue Hain

Why shouldn’t the scale of your deeds be heavy, O Naseer?
Now the Master (PBUH) himself has arrived at the Balance.
